True. And, of course, the irony is that the prices that they get from the trade are many thousands below the prices that they ask from us! I found our previous Motability car for sale at a dealer 200 miles away and the asking price was £2k less than Motability had quoted me – and that was after the dealer had serviced it, replaced some tyres and factored in the cost of a warranty and wriggle room for a discount. And after all of that the dealer will still make a handsome profit against the auction price that they paid for it!
