An update on fuel consumptionfor my Qashqai ePower.
2 months old ( 8 weeks ) Tuesday 3rd. January to Saturday 4th March.
1657 miles , around 1000 of which have been done on very ( some extremely ) short journeys of less than 1/2 mile to 3 miles or so, and the balance on longer journeys –
Average 50.1, best 84.1 mpg – cost say max of 34 gallons of petrol £ 235.
Comparison with Tiguan Average 31:mpg say 52 gallons diesel Approx £ 400
( the Tiguan average was around 29-31 local & over 55 months,37 mpg.
But I did not select the ePower solely for saving on fuel.)
My typical motoring saving approximately £100 per 1000 miles?
Example today 13 miles local , shopping, garden centre Etc. 63.5 mpg.
Example (yesterday I travelled 5 miles in normal traffic conditions, stopping only for 15 seconds approx.to pick up a friend , we were going to an exercise class , not going above 38/9 mph, in D mode/ Sport & using e Pedal, and had a return of 58.1
As previously quoted as an example (on one journey brim to brim –
210 miles total recorded on the journey , 37 non motorway and 173 motorway .
(Overall trip 53.1 Mpg recorded )
Prior to this I reported-
The mileage recorded is now just over 1240 and the average mpg is showing as 52.1 , with a high of 69.1 mpg ( which to me ,is perfect) .
Still living up to expectations!
