If you don’t like the way Motability operates, go buy your own car.

That’s what a lot of folk are doing and I think is why Motability introduced the loyalty payment.

I’ve no problems with the payment the way they are as either way its reduced my AP on my new car from £3,200 down to £1,850 there about so quids in as far as I’m concerned.

It’s a bit of a problem if you require a larger so by definition a more expensive car as its not all about expensive AP’s (or showing off as you put it) as I for one have to pay over the odds for an automatic gearbox because when I became disabled DVLA took my licence to drive manual cars away, add to that I have to use a mobility scooter to get anywhere when I get out of the car and so need a car that can accommodate that so like some other ‘s do have problems finding suitable cars for their disability and it would be great if we all could use small cars but we can’t.

That said, my current car is slightly smaller and more expensive than my last one but I’ve only been able to get away with that by spending £2,200 on an auto-folding scooter and an elevator to lift it into the car and if it wasn’t for the fact I own my own house and live rent free I too would be complaining about excessive AP’s.
