Hmmmm, yes what is the point of these multi adjustable tv wall mounts..
says helps to reduce glare, some can be lowered then TV positioned back when not in use, possibly move to view from other areas of the room easily, however I wouldn’t know either, anyone got one of these pointless wall mounts..
I wouldnt say they are useless but, they have their place – for example where people would be viewing at extreme angle/s as it could be swivelled left or right so the TV could be viewed head on and can also make a big difference with most LCD TV’s that often have have narrow viewing angles.
In a lounge for example your TV is normally position in a corner or on a wall so viewers are in a 30 ish degree field of view of the TV. An IPS (In Plane Switching) panel image quality deteriotes the further you view off axis and colours would start to look washed out the further you go. A VA (Vertical alignment) panel has a much better of axis viewing angle and can be as much as 178 degrees. Other than viewing angles there are other things to consider between the two panels. OLED has a veiwing angle of 178 degrees but it retains its image better at such wide angles.
Glare is the bane of housholds around the world whether thats direct or indirect every TV suffers from it in one way or the other and there’s no getting away from it and mitigated by tilting a blind or part drawing a curtain to counter direct glare. Nits or c2/m2 (brightness of TV) are an important factor to help but won’t tottaly illiminate glare.
These brackets are benificial in in a kitchen/dinner where you can keep an eye on footy whiles’t preparing food and then sitting down eating it etc. In a living room everyone seems to have their own favorite seat 🙂
