Yes, total agree. What should be one of the biggest commitments we make, just isn’t enjoyable. Most of the salesmen in the dealerships seem to have graduated from contact centres cold calling for PPI , Energy deals and accident claims. Only interested in a sale now!
Many now ask you to make an appointment before you arrive. I flatly refuse to do that – if they don’t have sales staff available a good sign the service department will be the same.
And my biggest annoyance “The demonstrator is on long term loan to ….” If it is on long term loan, it clearly is some dodgy deal involving sponsorship.
