    All this is officially way beyond me?, I would simply buy a tv what I think is a reasonable price, size and name, and turn it on for the limited time I watch.. morning news, 6 nations, some football, snooker, rarely some films.. I use my phone mostly.. But it’s a great time for a basic upgrade I think at around 43”, anything else just would be added expense I feel.. great to see such enthusiasm though..

    How far do  you sit from your TV and where is the TV positioned in the room window and seating arangement.

    TV’s start to see biggest reductions around the end of Feb and through out March as retailers want to make room for 2023 model year TV’s launched the end of March and begnning of April. Some Manufacturers launch their high end set later in the year but this is becoming less common. At the moment prices are fluctuating near their initial launch price and dropping to their lowest, and will soon settle. So its a case of keeping your eye open.
