I did ponder, was about 6 months into a 2 year extension and after chatting with the misses we decided we’d have a good look and find the best of what was on offer and if something half decent was about we’d go for it as wasn’t convinced things would improve much and didn’t want to be backed into a corner after the 5 years. If nothing decent then we’d wait it out.
Knew nothing about the C5x so did some research and it appeared pretty good, also she has a 20 plate C5 Aircross which we’re well impressed with. Contacted local dealer who had 1 that manager uses that we could demo for an afternoon. So impressed we went straight ahead and ordered. So glad we did as a few weeks later the top 2 pulled and price upped on low spec and nothing else of interest to us at price we’d accept at the time or since.
We’re now keeping fingers crossed that things are better by 2026 (or 28 if necessary and they’re still doing 2 year extension).
We wondered if Citroën were using MB to get a few out there as it’s quite a new model. Haven’t seen anyone slate it badly in reviews so feeling pretty positive. Time will tell I guess.
