Renault actual owns Nissan, both the Renault Megane EV60 (£4,995-£5495) and Nissan Ariya (£7,999) share both running platforms and as far as I am aware the the majority of the powertrain components. Big difference in price for basically the same car?
Don’t think Renault actually own Nissan, I believe they both have a 15% stake in each other’s businesses.
Renault own’s about 40% of Nissan and Nissan has 15% share are Renault and has no voting rights. Nissan prevented a full blown take over, over something to do with an argument about payment for engine work carried out in Japan. Renault also have a share in Mitsubushi.
