The only shame is that the ID5 is the only car to have a very decent range on the scheme now. They didn’t mention the plastics lower down in the cabin.
The model tested was a higher spec than the one we have available, so should be better.
The issue is that paying £50,000 on a car is a huge sum of money and the expectation goes up accordingly. It’s not that long ago that you could have bought a mid range luxury car for that sort of cash, so it suddenly being the asking price for a VW lump that’s simply underwhelming will always sit awkwardly.
