@Rene Your quote from December about my VW Tiguan delivery is panning out to be correct, quote ” Fingers crossed – heavily depends on the port, most likely. It could sit up to 3-4 weeks (or more over the holidays) in Grimsby, not sure about Tyne or Sheerness. Good to see that at least some VWs make it to the customers.. i’ll get there, eventually.” unquote. As of last Monday week still not at the dealership but expected by the end of this month, where have I heard that before. Still good news for you to have as like others have had there orders cancelled without notification but looks like we can rest a little bit on that front, I hope. I think mine will come in via Sheerness and would hope its already in the country or at least on the car carrier that docked today.
The month isn’t that long anymore, so fingers crossed. Ours is probably around 4-6 weeks out, would be my conservative guess – but as i said, there’s finally an end in sight after around 15ish months of waiting. That’s all that matters. Just ordered a cable protector for our walk way today as well as a cable storage bag – excited. 😀
Call your dealership – they can tell you by status whether or not the car landed. Just ask him to tell you the status in full. Not sure where you ordered, but Sinclair in Port Talbot always accommodates us when we call for status updates (and especially in the beginning, there were many lol).
Here’s the relevant status codes for you:
30 = In transit from factory
36 = Vehicle in port of exit – not released (likely Emden)
38 = Vehicle in port of exit – released to shipping (likely Emden)
39 = Vehicle on ship
40 = Vehicle arrival at UK port (Grimsby, Tyne or Sheerness).
Is there a way to know which port my car is at,as I’ve asked dealer and peugeot and they said it’s at port waiting but don’t know which one and have issues with logistics,this car has been there a while as it was an unnasigned one but my dealers assured me its mine?
Likely Sheerness, but i’m not 100% sure. I know that a friends 208 landed there, that’s all i know.
