I like to keep an open mind on this topic. Am concerned that the roll out of public charges (Outside London) still is lagging to meet the demand on EV sales.
Whilst if one has a home charging facility, dispite the escolating electric cost it still is at the moment viable for driving within the range of the charge. Outside that range on longer trips I will still be in favour of running a car that returns over 40mpg, with quick fill ups at fuel stations.
Wait to see EV developments for longer range vehicles before I would consider switching over.
