If you’re in two minds, you certainly won’t be after test driving one, they really are so much fun. I originally went to look at the 1 series and had no intention of a Mini, but walking past the Mini dealership which is added on to BMW’s I spotted a lovely JCW which I had to stop and look at. The salesman came out I explained I was on motability and he showed me a Cooper S with the JCW seats and bodykit which was available at the time. He offered me a test drive, which I thought “Why not, won’t hurt” and that was me hooked.
I’m going back through to Mini tomorrow to see the salesman again and no doubt have a few laps in the JCW before he takes my order. I was all but ready to come off the scheme altogether due to the lack of fun available. Yes, I’m no young buck anymore and there’s a number of things wrong with me, but that shouldn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to have something that makes you giggle now and then.
I’ll keep a look out for your thoughts when you’ve been out in the go-kart.
