@Mike700 I’d be interested what your getting on local journeys once youve had chance to do
out of interest, how many miles do you think you can get on full EV before engine kicks in?
It will depend on how much charge there is in the battery coupled with the type of driver you are?
A ‘’Bullit “type of driver , or a Starsky & Hutch, would probably get at least 50 yards in pure EV mode?

Motorway driving in D and Eco mode,Intelligent Cruise set at 74 mph, with odd switch to Sport, & my car returned some 53+mpg. 3 up with luggage, and the engine was in use quite often, but completely unobtrusive and cruised on electric only from time to time, quiet & comfortable.
80%+ of my motoring these days is local, as an example, yesterday afternoon 3 up no luggage, dropped Granddaughter at friend’s house, all Electric about 2 miles in B drive Eco.
Drove off to pick up the dog , back to town, picked up Granddaughter , into Sainsbury , over to Nandos , off home, Lots of EV driving ,lots of regenerative braking Engine unnoticed ,69.1 mpg recorded!
The main thing for me is that it gives an EV drive experience, quiet and smooth, without range anxiety , without plug in, at a reasonable MPG
