The quote I guess will be for the when you said you want the cover to start from and the car may not of arrived by then.
As i got a new car the dealer covered me for 48rs on there insurance also.
All I know is the closer you get the quote to when you want it to start it will cost a little more.
So as Glos Guy suggests maybe it’s a good idea to do as he says, but i also guess yopu could be paying for cover when it’s not needed and before the car arrives. I did pay for it for the whole year as it’s cheaper and wasn’t to much more but still, money is money.
Do you know the date when the car will arrive and your going to pick it up?
I knew what my reg was, my private plate, a week after i ordered the car i got quotes to see how much it would be .The dealer wasn’t sure of when exacly the car would arrive he said 4 to 6 weeks and car didn’t arrive before the quotes 30 days ranout, but if you imputted a date after you need it to start you might need to get a new quote or call them up.
The online system would not let it progress without the number plate being recognized online, so I had to call them up anyway and then. They entered the wrong engine detail so when policy came. I had to call up and change it, told them again and guess what again it was not right again when it came.
Way to many options of engines and models of vitara. Was sorted the 3rd time even though i had no problem finding it online on their list.
So always check details are right when you get the documents also or you might not be covered.
Guess me calling them up was cheaper than the quote online. I dunno if it was because of the engine error input or not but was about the same as 1st one I had online and when i had to get it changed they said no change in amount or fee as it was their error.
