It’s not based on delivery of ev’s it’s based on new orders for ev’s, but I would hazard a guess the dealers will pickup the unallocated order’s on many models that do have delays and maybe offer some retail discounts and to the scheme. Surely the long lead times are putting many off as well ordering and are just sticking for now, seing how this all pans out.
Who knows what VW are doing, i think they made a huge mistake during covid cancelling chips and others picked up those allocations and they cannot get them back, so are stuffed like many others until a solution is found.
Plus then there was issues with the software on their ev’s and sure i read a while back that they are not allowed to colab say with bmw on firmware/software to make one software due to eu competion rules.
Computer graphics cards they hard to come by or over priced also as demand went up during covid and lockdowns / working from home. Everything needs those chips thesedays to work and everything needs now to be smart connected also. So demands are very high and they took up the allocation car makers dropped. This all started way before Ukraine.
It would’nt surprise me if the car you ordered is changed in some way soon and your order is cancelled or needs to be changed to a different trim etc or the ap changes and it’s given a new code by Mbo.
