No response as yet to my completed online form so I’ve been on the phone to Motability this morning. The upshot is:
Customer Services do not know when the new car payment will increase from £250 to £750.
The lady I spoke to had a chat with a colleague and they THINK it may well be 1st April, tying in with the next price update.
I was told that if I took delivery of my new car in March I would receive the £250 and would then receive a topup of £500 once the increase came into effect. I queried this twice as, to me, it doesn’t make sense but she was definite about it. I’m not so sure as if the start date was to be 1st April how would you backdate it?
It’s maybe worth others ringing up and letting us know what they’re told to see if we can get some sort of consensus. Maybe the Motability website will provide an update in the near future ?.
