I have owned my Soul EV for 2 years now and in that time have loved it, even though its in the garage now lol. I have never queued at a charging station due to having a home charger and i have NEVER once suffered from range anxiety or inconvenience. During the 2 years i have owned it i have hired a car twice, once because the boot is the size of action mans shoe and we needed the space and the second time was due to distance and i did not want the hassle of having to stop and charge. On both occasions the hire cost was cancelled out by the savings i have made through not buying fuel.
I fully respect the fact EVs are not suitable for everyone or every situation and some people just prefer engines its that simple, no one should be forced into buying anything and should remain freedom of choice at all times. I have the arduous task of choosing another car next year or extending the lease as i fear the AP for EVs is just ridiculous at the moment and in my mind is only going to get worse while ever the market is as niche as it is right now.
