oddly a medecine prescribed for other reasons has helped with sleep, amitriptline its an antidepressant but i was prescribed it for its pain releif and muscle relaxant qualities as i was strugling with back pain and sciatica at night. i sleep a lot better 5 or 6 hours sometimes which is a huge improvement. sometimes you wake up feeling a bit hungover. but in my case the side effects well worth the benefit.
I Also take Amitriptline 25mg for pain @mitch but, at a lower dose than would otherwise be given for anxiety/depession. I don’t find it heps with sleep as you do, but, were all different.
I also take Duloxetine 90mg, another depressant for pain, which is also has an analgesic properties. This knock me out “away with the fairies” so to speak.
There are 18 items on my repeat, personally I’m not a fan of all these meds but, needs must.
