The council took my larger bin from the bottom of my drive without me knowing. I received a letter saying you have been issued with a new (smaller) bin and should not be using the larger bin which is no longer permitted bla bla bla.
I was using the old bin for personal use not to put fortnightly rubbish in, nor should they have come to the bottom of my drive and take it. I complained but never got it back.
On the subject of bins some bright spark at the council thought it would be a good idea to issue plastic like hessian sacks to put recycleables in, rather than providing a brown and green bins. To enable recycling of these sacks, new bin wagons had to be built and provided. On a windy day the contents get blown everywhere followed by the sacks. What makes it worse I live on a mountain. Talk about dull!!
