Hhmm yes but maybe these cars I’m passing are only taking a short journey too, so why not get it up to speed and try holding the gears slightly longer rather than create a known problem.. maybe..
If it’s an automatic, most seem to change gears way to early to keep the revs as low as possible, i think for environmentalreasons and driving in manual mode kind of defeats the object.
I went from diesel to petrol as i was having dpf regen issues due to not doing the long journey’s, at least once a week i used to be doing. I hadn’t had any issues before with diesels, but then they became regular, especially as i do alot of cold engine driving, so I’d stay away from any car with a ppf also if that’s you.
