I am not dissing the EV just this EV at the moment I don’t know if my next car will be an EV but that is purely down to cost. When I did all my calculations before this one the saving were huge, now running at 1.7 mpkw the savings are rapidly running out in fact if I didn’t charge at home I would be paying more than diesel. So what I am saying without carful calculation I couldn’t commit to an EV but when the time comes hopefully we will have a clearer future. To put into perspective when we originally ordered car we got heaps of accounts for outside charging now the cheapest was 14p per KW those same chargers are now 70p KW so I suggest that the government don’t put outside charging in their inflation basket of goodies if the want to massage the figures down.
