Mine is absolutely useless in any amount of snow and has terrible grip in the wet, 19″ with Bridgestones on.
We changed (involuntarily, really) to Conti Sport Contact on the front, improved wet acceleration (lateral grip never was an issue) quite considerably.
So much so that i made it up the incline of our road (around 10-12 degrees if i had to guess) on pure ice no problem (in idle, but still).
edit: as a related sidenote, winter tyres are mandatory in germany, more or less. It’s a weird grey area where you CAN drive with summer tyres in winter, but insurance will not pay for any damages if you happen to have an accident, making it kind of mandatory to switch to winter tyres.
