If I can add to what @BigDave has said. It would also add another owner to the vehicle, which would have a knock on effect, when the car is sold on by MB.
Also it is worth remembering that used vehicles are commanding a far higher residual price close to that of a new vehicle. Given the fact MB don’t pay any VAT on a new vehicle and they can get closer than ever new vehicle trade in value of an early terminaton. For this reason alone MB will have ÂŁ signs in their eyes, therefore won’t consider another scheme customer taking a nearly new vehicle.
Sadly I can’t see it ever happening, for the simple reason, I have never come accross a charity or not for profit organization not being greedy to some extent 🙂
