Got my daughter here for a few days, her Raynauds means the heating is on at 19c, todays smart meter readings were a bit of a shock, electric £2.76, gas £5.91 and there’s 20mins to go until midnight!!. So basically £9.70 a day/ £260 a month!! I only pay £125 + the £67 subsidy. Much as I love her she’ll have to go back to her mums so I can sit and freeze at 15c and keep the bills down!!!.
I try to keep my heating on low as often as i can. I often use a quilt when watching tv since energy prices have shot through the roof. I have a pair of Raynauds silver gloves and socks that help somewhat along with a thick dressing gown.
Out and about especially in colder months I use heated gloves and thick pair of socks over silver sock. Along with arhritus it can be debilitating.
Anything below 21.5c can be a trigger pont, even n the height of summer picking a tub af marg etc from the fridge can trigger it.
