The other tricky thing is when you collect a new car the second you put your PIN into the dealers machine the insurance for your current car switches to your new car so some sort of intervention by Motability / RSA will be required.
Like Rene said best talk to MB as I would think your one of the very few unlucky ones to be put in this situation and can’t imagine if anyone here has had to do that, but then you never know.
