By Trunk do you mean Frunk? For those that don’t know despite the Kona EV not coming with a Frunk there is plenty of space under the bonnet for one. Great for storing cables, etc out the way….
You need to remove a plastic cover (above inverter?). Apparently, it’s safe and does not get hot but I suggest you do you own research… Is plenty of information if you look on YouTube / Google for “Kona frunk”. There are a number of DIY or aftermarket solutions eg.

If you have access to 3d Printer you can print the mounts (eg https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4065215) and buy box from Wilko for about a £5….
You can also get Bonnet Gas Springs / stuts for about £25 so bonnet stays open without having to mess with the normal bar to keep it open. (Link from my previous research no longer works but sure are plenty of options)
