In order to be put on the waiting list for an appointment at our GP.
(a) Phone for a telephone appointment on Friday 9.00 am morning (you cannot book in person at the surgery) expect to wait an hour, once or if the waiting list is full which it usually is you have to wait to the following Friday and again take your chances to get on the list.
(b) if you are successful to book an appointment you will have to wait between 4 to 5 weeks for the telephone appointment.
(c) when you receive your appointment, the GP will decide if they book you in an appointment, you then again have to wait until Friday to actual book an appointment, again this could take 4 to 5 weeks.
It has been at least 2 years since I have actually seen a GP, my yearly review it carryout over the phone.
It was abysmal before covert, now near on impossible, the majority of people in our area just go to AE at Stafford hospital.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
