Excellent points Glos Guy and noted. You are right like so many on here about the poor choice and high Ap’s. This is only my second car on the scheme and although as you say, the worth of the Sharan is irrelevant it is a yardstick to measure by more than anything, when deciding to extend for 2 years. I got lucky in my choice in 2019 (which resulted in paying no AP) and the spec I got, compared to the spec that is available now with high AP. I know there are a quite a few that have been customers for decades but are now disillusioned with the scheme, and one day that could be me. But for now it is working for me and offers peace of mind after years of searching for the best bargain car, insurance every 12 months, the best tyre deals, breakdown cover, and most important of all finding a good local mechanic who knows his stuff. I’m not ready to go back to all that yet.
