The problem with the dealerships is compounded if you take your vehicle in for any work.
All the smaller family based local dealers have lost their franchises to bigger organisations whom don’t really care about the customers because there is no other option. Some dealers are now so spread out that it could be an hour drive to get to a dealer and of course you have to get there by 8 am to allow them to book the car in to only start work at 3 pm ! Very few are now near a town centre and have relocated to business parks on the outside of the towns. Which means you are either marooned for many, many hours in uncomfortable seats in the waiting area or play “frustration” with a curtesy or hire car.
Even before I became disabled, I used to get annoyed with service departments and their loan cars. I once took an outrageously expensive BMW in for a very costly service and was given a very tiny city car. They could not understand that when someone brings in a certain sized vehicle at least give them something close. Even more so when you have specific needs because of disability.
And dare you mention that you have a guide/assistance/therapy dog and want to put them in the vehicle!
