Update on the car I had use of for a week:
I fixed the uncomfortable seat problem – it had lumber support pumped up. The bolsters on the backrest are a bit too firm for me, otherwise comfortable enough.
Interior is good, very roomy and quite traditional, scratchy plastic on the doors but good elsewhere for the class of car. The top trim has every modern aid and trick, but not folding mirrors (I may be wrong there but they didn’t fold on locking). Remote locking but key in the ignition to start.
Boot lid is manual and quite heavy to lift and to close but once in, the boot is big and deep.
Ride is a bit too hard but the trade off is the handling is good and steering is responsive and sharp. I liked that when throwing the car around, it felt well planted and predictable.
For the money and clearly aimed at the traditional buyer, I think it’s a good family car.
