I have had wind deflectors on my last three cars. The reason for this, they were already on the first car I bought, I thought they were good. So bought them for last two cars.
The reason for this, is that the car will not steam up in wet weather when you drop the windows down, maybe 3-4 cms as the deflectors stop any rain coming in and also let’s the airs circulate.
With the Kona EV, it works the same way, but helps the range due to not having the air con on in warm weather. Travelling at speed, 65-70 there is very little noise when the windows are open. The few cms I’ve suggested. Those are my reasons, I have had comments saying the car looks sporty, for me, It does, but not the main reason I got them. ??
