The unit cost of electricity will nearly double under new energy prices released yesterday, taking it to 86p per kWh, up from 56p. Petrol prices have fallen in recent weeks and stand at £1.70 per litre, in comparison.
So it could cost more to drive electric than fuel !!
We new it was coming but now the reality is almost upon us – I believe I am right in saying that Motability have offered a different arrangement for those who haven’t the option of charging at home.
I would assume free or cheap chargers of charging rate 20 and under will become much more in demand – only those with solar panels and a low weekly mileage will be shielded by the effects.
What a difference a year makes – I wish for all of you – the best you can of health and stay safe nourished and warm in the coming months. ?
