<p style=”text-align: left;”>For us, it works. Bedtime is usually midnight and the noisy appliances are in the kitchen/diner, well away from the lounge. We will use electric to heat after 9.30 pm when it’s cheap, half the price of gas, and probably a third in January when it goes up to something crazy. Additionally we’ll wear something warmer and even go for long drives in the car with the heater on. I suspect we’ll have to use the central heating, but the thermostat will be lower. If I hadn’t gone for the Kona electric, I wouldn’t have got some of these extra benefits. Having done the maths, some of the effects of high energy will be mitigated, not all, and depressingly we have worse to come in January and April next year.</p>
