i dont know the 400 but have seen the 480. even fully dismantled, which is hard for me to do i doubt if it will fit, but it might. there are hoists that fit kona tho. mine is just a 2 way now.
i bought a folding scooter from care-co (the cheapest one at about 1k. sold my one a bit like the 480(also a care-co) for about 350. the folder fits well and stands on its little castor wheels so is manouverable in boot. the hoist lifts it up, i swing it out and hoist drops it to ground. although folders are relatively light they are heavy enough to be a fairly heavy lift into boot even for able bodied.
