@Asc The statement ” Your current agreement is extended until the 29th of December and we will re-asses that nearer the time.” in your email is somewhat concerning.
In what way could they possibly re-asses? My only thinking would be to cancel your order.
Actually when I see that word I thought exactly same as you then I call him and ask “What you mean by that”, He said “just in case if we need extended your lease another month or so, but I think your car will arrive by then”..
