Hi Ian – further to your question about the speed warning – firstly I hope you found the speed limiter ok – secondly just to say I find myself using it all the time now when there is a speed limit that can easily be broken – it seems to be the season for police with speed guns under bridges or behind vegetation – if there is a lot going on ie cyclists or a line of traffic etc it is easy to speed creep especially to get quickly and safely past cyclists.
Cameras take no account of the situation – I did my advanced when I was riding motorbikes and that was one of the things that was drummed into us – making progress past obstacles ie going over the speed limit to quickly and safely negotiate an obstacle was encouraged.
