If it is basic TV you are after you can’t go wrong with just a smart telly. No need to record, it’s all there in catch up, box sets, recommendations etc. It’s all there bar the monthly subscription to VM or Sky
One of biggest issues with the likes of Sky, VM or any similar platform is they have you by the bollards, where its often the case you can haggle a package deal for the same price as internet alone. My wife also still likes to record channels, hence my initial suggestion of a freeview/sat recordable box.
