Daf, Ireland’s GDP is not all real wealth which benefits the people. The figure is massively distorted by multinational businesses headquartered there because of the country’s very low corporate tax rates. The EU is pressuring Ireland to raise those rates and is pushing for a single tax rate across the EU.
