Thing is, if you paid the full 5 year extension, plus whatever your AP was at the start, you should be near enough to owning the car in full if you had bought the car outright. It would also be worth a he’ll of a lot more than the £900 GCB you get at the end of the lease.
I fear this vehicle shortage will push Motability customers down the pecking order that much that a lot of manufacturers will either just put plain stock onto motability with high AP’s or just not bother with Motability altogether.
The 5 year extension makes the Motability customer the only party in the agreement to lose money and I think this is why you’ll see a lot of members coming off the scheme.
