Mordaunt’s navy background is fake. She joined the RN reserves when she was trying to get elected MP for Portsmouth (lots of Navy votes there) as a subaltern. She was given an honorary Captaincy as a forces minster and she shows off her photo in her Captains dress uniform. Never served.
