The FHEV on our test drive was worse than a 1.5 TSI DSG too, so i’m not sure that the FHEV is going to be that sensible either.
On the test drive we managed around 38ish mpg, where our current car manages 43+ mpg. Exact same route, and sensible driving. FHEVs in general are pretty awful from a cost/benefit perspective.
