It’s a beautiful day here in the Severn Valley. I’ve just had a trip out to Strensham services on the M5, which may sound unusual but for me was exciting.
My second son Dan has spent twenty years in retail, but decided some time ago that he needed a change.
What a change! I met up with him at lunch time on the truck park at Strensham as he pulled up in his 71 reg Scania R480 38 tonne six axle rig. He’s “tramping” all over the place and is absolutely loving it. The money is good and the space that a walk around cab gives you makes it home from home, with even a fridge and microwave as fixtures!
I’m proud of him that he had the guts to make a total change at a time when the economy is dodgy.
