I think most of the problems with dealerships is not only the lack of interest in Motability customers but also the lack of interest in the dealership to their employees?
The MB sale person who was dealing with my order suddenly upped sticks and moved away from that dealership two months after ordering.
Just as it happens I came across a guy on a VW Tiguan users forum who just happened to be an ex-sales retired guy at the same dealership I’m using right now and I was talking to him about the MB sales rep I was dealing with and he knows her and said she had gone back to here previous employer at the local Peugeot dealer as a MB sales person who she had left a few years previously but with better pay and conditions.
The reasoning for the comings and goings is its the only way to go up the promotion ladder or get a pay rise.
So if that’s true, and I can believe it is because I have never seen the same sales person in a dealership more than once or twice over a year or so because they just disappear with no reasons. I don’t know if its worst at VW dealerships because it would seem the same was happening at Marshall’s VW in south Oxford and sure many remember on this site back 4 years ago when the sales persons there seem to change with the weather and move on to other branches or dealerships.
Just my explanation of how I see things in regards to VW dealerships and why we as Motability customers seem to get the lack of interest sometimes and the only time we get above average attention is when the broom is brand new.
That said my current MB dealer (KIA) rep has been with that dealer throughout my current lease of nearly four years but just wished he wasn’t after being lied to at the order point but that’s another story.
