Six months window for a new lease sounds great.
Personally i do think the order process itself is almost as easy as it gets. You need to test drive/sit the car either way. What i do would like to see is more trained staff. Not some random guy that now gets called “motability specialist”, but someone who actually works for the customer, not the company. Of course that’s a pipe dream, but one can dream.
Maybe shuttle services for disabled people to get to/from the dealership (or pick-up for test drive), with the possibility of completing the order at the customers house. That could be done by the trained/dedicated motability salesman.
edit: and the legal requirement for dealerships to make stock cars available to Motability customers. That’s a selfish request from myself, but that’s something that really annoys me.
