My dealer, about 10 days ago told me my car was to be shipped on 31st May and arrive 19th July. – then an additional 10 – 14 days until with the dealer – I asked about the delays at Tilbury – he said they were slowly getting back to normal. Given that I ordered late October and it was an ultimate light interior – the suggestion of late July early August fits with what you are suggesting – but if they are making things up, then I find it rather patronising. If it is September I just want to know the latest estimate from Hyundai. – The sailing on 31st of May just appears made up. im tempted to send a pointed but not rude email to this effect, but I doubt it will change anything – however I will make my thoughts none to both Hyundai and Motability once I have the car.
The good thing about this and other forums is the ability to share news. Reading between the lines I think August is looking highly probable if not “nailed on”. Again my dealer said they are under instructions to simply give an “estimated” month of arrival, and he is reluctant to share that info with some clients as they take it as a fixed date. Hopefully come the end of the month we will have up to date and reliable information. With a tank of fuel now just shy of a century, the day cannot come too quickly.
