I doubt I’ll see my car until October at the earliest, personally I’m guessing mine may arrive near the end of this year. So maybe a 15 month wait which is ridiculous. Already had my home charger fitted.
Same boat for us with the Golf GTE. Ordered Nov last year, currently build week 46 (mid Nov this year) – if there’s no further delays, and excluding delivery. Also had charger fitted 3 months ago now.
Upside, since we applied for an EV tariff with Octopus (Go) in September last year, we now got an incredibly (comparatively) cheap energy tariff at 24p/kwh with 5p/kwh at night and 19p standing charge until May next year.
We’ll wait it out though. We test drove the car and fell in love with it, it’s not just “a good car” to us, but “best car” (250bhp, corners well, plugin hybrid, comfortable). I absolutely would understand someone who’d cancel it though – it’s just that any (affordable) alternative would be worse.
