I dipped into manga a few years ago: Akira { obviously} and, especially, Black Butler come to mind. Not really watched any general anime beyond episode 1 of some ‘Bounty Hunter in Space’ type series, on Amazon, that didn’t engage me. I’m still gearing myself up to watch Grave of the Fireflies because I know it’s brilliant, but it’s not exactly a laugh riot.
