Yes it is different to your award letter.

I discussed this with my dealer when placing the order, and he put in £0 for first year tax (VW Tiguan Allspace Elegance 1.5TSI DSG – first year tax normally £895) I should check with your dealer what they are charging.

I did find this document on gov.uk which seems to suggest that the dealer sorts out tax class on a new vehicle:
