Sadly my sister has had the same conversation this week she has had a xc40 on order since October only to be told that Volvo could not promise to fulfill any orders possibly for the rest of the year and into next .to add insult the dealer stated that they normally have 40 to 50 vehicles for sale but currently have six and the Volvo S60 she currently has the dealership would be delighted to purchase from her. So this situation is currently affecting everyone
