Yeah, at the current APs there’s absolutely no reason to get one. They’re more expensive over the lease than ICE cars even if you include fuel price.
For a rule of thumb (for us), a PHEV is allowed to be around £1500 more in AP to the comparable ICE spec, we know we can save that kind of money over the course of the ownership no problem. After that, it depends on the desirability. If it’s, over the course of the ownership all things included, the same price as the ICE equivalent, then it needs some special stuff to make me want one – be it a considerable amount of extra power, certain options (remote control parking from Kia springs to mind, things like that) etc.
